In this article, we will learn how to take a screenshot on Windows 7.

No matter that due to this, Windows allows many built-in utilities to capture and save print screen windows 7, and it only removes some keyboard clicks.   • Use keyboard shortcuts

Taking a screenshot is easy, no matter that which version of Windows is running you are. You can follow these steps – you have not tampered default controls of a keyboard – and you previously have an approach to the entire picture editing program you required. 

  • Capture the picture –

To capture a screenshot of your entire display, press the Print Screen button as shown on keyboard “PrtScn” key, typically located in the upper-right corner of your keyboard. Alternatively, you can press Alt + Print Screen, to capture a screenshot of the active window. If you are using a laptop then you need to Fn + Print Screen simultaneously, when your laptop has different characteristics fixed with that specific key.

There will be no sound or any other sign in the print screen. You can save your Image through Paint. If you are using Windows 8 or 10, just click on the windows + print screen key simultaneously, to save automatically a screenshot of your computer screen inside the screenshot folder situated in the photo directory.

Alternatively, if you have placed a Dropbox on your computer, screenshots will be automatically collected into your Dropbox below directory screenshots.

  • Open Paint Program-

Click on the Start menu; go to the Windows Assistant Folders or Accessories Folder, if you are using Windows 7. Now search the Paint program, its icon shows a painting stone slab with a painting brush on the right side. It can be changed, depending on the version of your operating system. All versions of windows also include Windows Search, which can be used to find the paint – you guess it – paints!

Once open, click the Paste button in the top left a corner on the Paint program, or select edit and then paste, or press Ctrl + V keys from the keyboard to paste copied content. It is possible that the function is slightly varied in a different operating system but keyboard shortcuts will stand the same.

  • Save screenshots with the desired name –

Make edit if required such as crop the picture into a specific area, enter any text etc. Just click on the file menu option situated in the Left top corner. After that click on save as and give a desired name of the new file. Choose the location from the drop-down menu, and choose the desired file format. Most objective JPEG means JPG format is fine. Some other formats are available such as GIF, BMP, PNG etc., and click on Save button in the right-bottom side.
